Established in 1970 and governed by a Council of Management comprising industrialists, representatives from Central & State Governments and Aepex Trade Promotion Organisations.

In 1971, MVIRDC becme a member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), New York which has more than 280 WTCs spanning 100 countries in its fold.

WTC Mumbai is the only operating Indian member of the WTCA providing a wide range of services and facilities
